New Beginnings

It's that time of the year when the reality of life ahead starts to sink in for high school seniors.
To document this momentous occasion we have Senior portraits.
A senior portrait is a glimpse at the adolescence you are leaving behind, a frozen moment of who you are and a nod to the person you are preparing to become.
This is my beautiful cousin Taran who asked me to be a part of this special moment.

Here we are the piece de resistance!!!

I asked Taran the night before the shoot if it would be alright to take some of the pictures in last year's prom dress.
To my utter delight, she said yes!!!
The next pictures are the result of perfect weather, a gorgeous subject and a growing hobby.

Happy Good Friday everyone!
Stay inspired and seize the day!!!

Fields of Sunshine

Photos from another SassySisterVintage photo shoot!
It's always a fun little adventure when we go outside of SassySisterVintage headquarters for a photo shoot!
You never know what we are going to happen upon.
Like this lovely patch full of different kinds of clover.
And what do I do when I see a beautiful field of flowers?
I take my shoes off and roll around in it! ;)
These colors just make me happy!
They remind me that spring is here and Easter is literally just around the corner!!!
Which reminds me!
Happy Easter everyone!!!

The clothes in all of these pictures are from SassySisterVintage click the link to go to her online shop!
The earrings are a new pair I just got from Ollie Mae's Boutique the link I provided will take you to their Facebook page!
Both places are worth taking a peek!
Of course the boots are my tried and true Justin's that I've had for years you can find similar pairs at any western wear shop!

Like the "Paparazzi" picture complete with (Gasp) an Engagement ring?!
Yes, I am a nerd. No, I'm not engaged! ;P

So if you guys haven't already guessed it, these stunning earrings are Sorrelli!!!
That's right I'm still Obsessed in a BIG way...
Like the size of these earrings big! ;)

I was inspired to create this fusion new hollywood/old hollywood look to compliment them!
I kept the outfit itself very simple with the staple jeans and white t-shirt.
To add a bit of glamour and mystery I slung this vintage blush beaded coat over my shoulders.
(Very Zsa Zsa in my opinion.)

Don't forget that the Sorrelli event at The Bead Garden starts in 9 days from the posting of this blog!!!
Mark your calendar and tell all of your family and friends!!!
There will be prize drawings for those in attendance and you won't want to miss these crazy deals!!!
It's happening April 25th and 26th.
This event is just in time for Mother's Day so keep your eye out for that perfect something for the woman who brought you in to this world!
Guys you have to find something for your mothers too and Ahem the woman who brought your children into this world!!!
It's a day once a year that celebrates women, the life they give and the sacrifices that they make!
Need I say more???!!!!
I didn't think so!!!

So before I get started on outfit details and things of that nature I want to let everyone know that the abandoned house I'm standing in front of was majorly creepy!
Majorly gorgeous...but creepy.
If Colton hadn't come with me I don't know that I would have stayed there as long as I did!
The wisteria was just too perfect for these pictures!

*Side note*
Stranger Danger is a real thing, don't go alone to abandoned places especially if you are unfamiliar with the location and even if you are familiar you are never too old for the buddy system.

Now on to the things you want to know! ;)
Most all of the jewelry that I am wearing is SORRELLI from the Rosewater collection, three necklaces one ring and one pair of earrings make for a very happy Piper and a very pretty picture!
Look at those earrings...Look at them!!!
I die!
This coming from the self professed keeper of the "One bold piece at a time" rule!
But I've said it once and I will say it again, there are no true rules in fashion.
And of course you can wear any of these pieces on their own because lets face it any one of these pieces is a show stopper!

The rest of the outfit is made up of a vintage white tea length formal dress and a blush textured cardigan from H&M.
My shoes are my tan Justin roper boots I wear constantly.(Not pictured)

Don't forget about the event coming up just in time for mothers day at The Bead Garden of Bonifay.
Like them on Facebook if you haven't already!
The dates will be April the 25th and 26th!
(Mark your calendars!!!)
The event is themed Spring Fever and everything Sorrelli will be on sale!!!
Including these stunning pieces I am wearing in these pictures!!!
There will also be multiple gift certificates given away up to $50 and $10 bling bucks to first come first serve customers at the event!
I hope to see you there!
